We are getting closer, by next week they should be able to start on the production sets
As it has turned out these have become more of a "Mid" length header than a shoty, which I like a lot! Here is a photo of the Jig being made. Once the Jig is finished a complete set 100% tig welded will be made.
A lead pipe will also be available once the headers are completed. This will allow anyone who purchases the current exhaust system to connect the Mid length headers to the system.

Since I have dyno numbers with the long tubes I will be able to get a good comparison with the Mid length set up as well.

After running our long tubes for rack and pinion equipped cars on the chassis dyno we were pleased with 305HP & 312TQ at the rear wheels.
Now that the mid length headers for stock steering and rack and pinion are done I installed them and went straight to the dyno once again. Much to my surprise our little 5.3 churned out 323HP & 326TQ at the rear wheels!

Yes, that is exactly how it seems. Remember, these are also 1-3/4 tube they are just a bit shorter. Then we have the down tubes that connect to them and make the whole assembly the same length as the long tubes.
