Why does Summit list the fitting as blue?? I know it's not that big of a deal but I'd rather it be stainless...Or is it just a typo on their part??

I received mine recently and I am very disappointed with the "Lousy" surface finish on the diameter that the "O" ring is supposed to seal on.......Looks like they just wanted to bang them out..........I hope theres enough material on the dia for polishing yet will still allow the "O" ring to seal.......

All the common AN fittings with PNs[/QUOTE]

So, at the risk of sounding stupid, that chart is for connecting flexible braided line from the rail to a hard line under the car to the filter then back to flexible lines to the tank?

Okay, I looked up part numbers and wasn't 100% on what was being connected to what. Is it just me or does it seem ridiculous that it takes 15 connectors to get this simple task accomplished? How has nobody made one piece to replace the two at every junction? Anyway, Summit now has teflon steel braided twist tite lines so I'm just going to do that from tank to rails. Simple, fewer junctions, and $200 for 40 feet of line (just going to stick with truck rails) and all the fittings. Fuel lines have proven to be the least fun aspect of the swap.

But it's cheaper overall, at least in my case, because I won't have to buy a returnless fuel rail, a corvette regulator or the 5 extra fittings it would take. Plus there are no special tools to buy or hassle with getting fittings on the ends of the lines themselves.

I'm not an expert on this at all though and I'll admit there might be an aspect of this that I have not considered. The twist tite stuff won't be in stock for three weeks anyway so there is still time to compare options.

Man.. this is an old thread.. .but usefull...

But I would update the Russell QD with newer optioned ones..

They now make a more secure QD (Screw End Cap) #644117 and #644127 (in black)and also one that connects directly to the Hose and you can do away with a hose end (in the drawing it is the 90* you wouldn't need any more). See the link to there catalog for all of the options..

Also, there are other options for the Sender and the way he does the return with only a hose clamp.
