Russell 640940 AN to quick release adapter source!!
Does anyone know who has a source for these freakin' things?
Summit keeps putting the delivery out further and further each week for this piece. Its been over a month since I ordered this item.

So is this the fitting that everybody is using for a cleaner install into the Corvette fuel filter regulator on the "to engine" side? (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/RUS-640940/)
I've been out of the loop on LS installs for awhile and just getting ready to start on another one. I may use these instead of cutting Dorman lines and using one-use compression fittings.

Be nice if it was just that easy. Jegs says ships in 6 days, which means they also don't have them, and the Russell 640940 does not show up on an Ebay search.
I've tried going through the Edelbrock distributor listing also, Nada.....

Have you called the manufacturer? sometimes they will sell direct. Other wise You may just have to check other mailorder places to see if they have it in stock.I have spent all day on the phone before checking to see if someone will have something in stock

Yes, no matter who you call, always insist on a physical check of inventory, before placing an order. Common sense. This is where I bought my fittings years ago, before Russell even came out with them. They are nice billet aluminum pieces..."Godman Hi-Performance" 901-382-7404. They are in Memphis Tennessee. Good luck.

I finally called Edelbrock direct today and they stated "a week and a half from today is we will get them in."
We'll see if they are blowing smoke. Its only been 5 weeks now since I put these on order.
This also says to me that they are not producing them, but have them being made for them by an outsourced vendor. My money says they are on a slow boat from China!!

Just a thought but if you go to napa you can build your fuel lines from nylon with push to connect fittings for less than 2 or 3 of the AN adapter fittings. They have the tool in stock to make the lines and it litterally takes about a 1/2 hour

Another option is a 4 cyl flex-fuel filter for a s-10.It has the regulator built in like the vette one.The "to engine" side has a barb fitting on it,so all you need is another 640850 3/8 fitting.Plus it's cheaper than the vette filter
