im swapping out a 04 LQ4 that was boosted for 15K. Im going with L92 heads. im replacing all the gaskets and seals of the top end of the motor. should i upgrade any other parts like the rod bolts?

This is the build im doing. Should be 550hp at the crank with the cam and heads they used. Just L92's and a camp swap.

that build sounds INCREDIBLE!! and incredibly easy! so if that thing makes 550hp roughly at the motor, is it safe to assume that you'd end up with 468hp at the rear wheels? i'm amazed at how much power these motors will make with factory parts! i'm sold.

with manual car and basic or upgraded rear around 460-465rw

i'm doing the same thing....i'm gathering parts now,and was thinking about that build too but just a bit worried about low end driveability...a few people on here said it wouldnt have good driveability. i wanna here from all those cam guru's out there!!!

they are not entirely neccessary if not plan on racing or hi rpm. in a street motor.

If you get arp bolts they have instructions for installing them with a torque wrench. I just recently did this on my 6.0.
