72 chevelle getting the ls2 with t56
New Line I ran into the exact problem you have, I tried to look for a company that maybe made an adaptor hose that would have the FBody master cylinder fitting on one side and the GTO Slave cylinder fitting on the other side and I did find a company called tube-tech that knew of my exact problem and were in the prototype stages of having something to offer for this problem but they told me that it was still about 6 months from production but now that was about 18 months ago that I had that problem so they or somebody may have come up with an adaptor hose by now? Another solution is that the slave cylinders from the FBody and the GTO are identical except for that one fitting if you know of a transmission shop or friend that has done a clutch on his FBody and changed out the slave cylinder and has the old one laying around you can just swap the fitting instead of having to buy a whole new FBody slave cylinder which usually run from as cheap as $65 up to about a $150 and from what I have seen they are all the same brand. What Alternator and AC mounts are those. Look really clean , durable. My 1971 Chevelle LS2 T56 swap starts next month. Got a garage full of parts. Im interested in your progress and your car is very nice. Like the paint. Itll be one bad boy when its finished. Good luck!

I installed the Spectra tank in my 72 Chevelle with the in tank pump and hooked up the vent tubes just like the factory tank. You should have the same amount of vent tubes that are on the tank.
On another note, you might want to consider a pan that does not hang below the x member. The Autokraft pan fit real well with my Edelbrock set up.

I received my breaks on friday and installed them yesterday and today. Everything worked out pretty good.I need some help with gears and positive unit, where is the best place to get them? I'm looking for 373's. Here's a few pics of my breaks.

regarding your cluthch set up ............ were did you get all the parts to make your clutch pedal work ? iam doing the same conversion... and right know my car is a automatic but iam going to put the t-56 in but iam lost on where to get the parts .... could u help me thanks

My car was a 4speed from the begaining so i used my old pedal, you can find parts like on ebay and switch it over to manual

Hey,sorry for the delay. Thats a newer t56 trans,you need to get a slave cylinder,master cylinder and bracket for a 2002 t56.What you have in the pics will not work,you need to change the slave cylinder to the 2002 style.
