Default lq4 questions

hey guys, I found an LQ4 online and called the guy about the motor. The guy seems legit. He told me that he bought the motor off of a forum and it was recently freshened with new bearings, rings, and arp rod bolts. I am looking to swap this into my 69 camaro and swap a cam and throw a turbo on it. Probably copy somebody's setup on the performance trucks site. anyway, I am planning on going to look at this motor maybe tomorrow, can anyone point me in the right direction or tell me what to look for in terms of wiring and accessory drives. I am not planning on running A/C and He told me that the previous owner had started to pull the pins out of all of the plugs but he labeled them. Any weak spots in the motor or anything elses when looking into buying an lq4. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
badnova

pull a valvecoverdipstick and look to see how clean it is inside. Pull some plugs too. Ask what year it is too. If its a early one, 99/00 ( I believe) it will have a short crank. Just so you know.

the engine is dis-assembled and a bare shortblock. he has all of the parts to complete the motor, but it is not assembled, also is there a way to test if the stock ECU he has for it is good? thanks for the reply

You can determine the production date on your own.
