Default Which weighs less?

Which weighs less, a 85 s-10 or 88 mustang? Both with same engine and trans. Both vehicles stock besides the swap. Which will weigh less with gutted interior? Thanks.

I'm bet the fox has better weight transfer and front to rear weight ratio, too. But anyone know any facts?

stock other than the swap? OR no interior, no A/C, no heat, fixed glass, no driver and no gas?

makes a difference.

That was a post bomb. Swoop in make a vague statement and wait to see what happens. hahaha

If your deciding on the two for an LS swap, go with the Fox, im doing a 95 s10 myself and i kick myself in the *** everyday wishing i woulda done the fox, more engine bay room, cheaper header options, k member that makes it alot easier, better rear suspension, and i would def say lighter... Wish i wasnt this far into the s10 otherwise i would have sold it for a fox... Just my opinion for you....

I'm looking at a fox body and a s-10 both all ready have sbc 350 and turbo 350 installed. I thought I would run the sbc this season and do the ls1 swap next winter. Would it be a head start if it already is 350?

I dont see how it would be a head start. Especially if you intend to use the LS1 with EFI, cause you would still need to redo the fuel system, and all the wiring for the PCM. IF you plan to carb the LS1, than maybe its a head start, but arent the mounts different?

and regarless of weight, the fox is going to hook 1,000,000 times better than any truck. You are gonna have to add weight to the back of the truck to get it to hook at all, or remove a ton from the front.

You can get the sbc mount adapters and just use them on the LS motor. It's easy.
