msd 6010 mounting ideas??

Default msd 6010 mounting ideas??

where is everyone mounting there msd boxes? i was thinking of mounting it in the car under the dash but i'm not sure the harness is long enough... i'd like to see some pics....

I put mine in the kick panel of my camaro inside the car. Then ran the serial port up the center console and into the CD holder area. Totally stealth but easy to change set points. If you drill a hole under your heater box area you have plenty of wire length if you take your time.

the harness is long enough.

Im planning to put mine in the car. only concern is the big flipping hole one has to drill in the firewall to get the plug through.

as lone as the harness is long enough i'll be good then!

I put mine on a drawer slide, it pulls out from the dash. I added an aluminum plate with a fake radio graphic on it...

cool ideas, ideally if i have enough cable i would like to put it on the backside of the glovebox door so its hidden and easy access .....

I used a "Seals-it" grommet (see arrow).

yes i have the box... gonna set the engine in then mount, definatly going under the dash, i would like to mount it on the glove box door if it will reach

If it's gonna be buried, you can always use a serial extension cable permanently attached to the MSD, coiled up and stashed under the dash for future programming...

I made up a mounting plate out of aluminum and mounted mine off the back two bolts of my intake.

I machined a two piece bulkhead and attached it with some stainless hardware. I mounted the box inside under the dash and routed the harness through a hole slightly larger than the largest connector.

i mounted it on my heater in my Chevelle-the wiring was long enough
