Heater Delete
I have been trying to search for this, but cannot find anything on the subject. I have my 1969 Corvette that I deleted the heater lines years ago. I am swapping in a ls1. I see on the water pump of the LS1 having 2 nipples. Can I block off the nipples, or do I need to come up with a loop so coolant can circulate around for the water pump to function properly?

loop hose part #
Here is the part number for the hose to loop it- another member posted this up a while back and I just copied/pasted to my scrapbook of parts/numbers, Ill try to find the link for ya too-
Dayco # 87629 or Kelly-Springfield #S-4354. Not sure what the cross reference numbers are for Gates etc. Around $8-9 at most retailers.
This hose is a U-Bend hose with one side being 3/4" and the other side being 5/8". It's small, compact, and best of all simple. All you have to do to make it work is trim 1" off of the 5/8" side
