Default 2001 6.0L fuel rail ?

I have a 2001 6.0 LQ4 that I want to change my fuel rail. My current rail has the inlet and return lines, I would like to change it so I just have a feed line so I can use a Warbro pump wit vette filter reg. Does anyone know what year or what engine will fit the stock intake and have no return line. I am trying to go the least expensive way possible so I do not want any custom aftermarket rails. Any help or ideals would be great.

Depends if you are using the stock truck intake or switching to a car intake and injectors.

I'm pretty sure 2004 is when the trucks all went to the single fuel line, so anything newer than that should be what you're looking for.

When swapping from return to returnless or vice versa do you have to do anything else? Do you need a retune or anything? I want to go to a returnless setup on my truck intake.

Right now I have an 02 truck setup, but I have found a rails/injectors setup from an 8.1 that I would like use. I would also prefer to just have to run the one hard line up and down the car. It's not a 'must do' thing, it would just simplify things a bit.

I have an '04 Yukon with a 5.3, and an '04 6.0 from a 2500 truck, both have the return-style fuel rails. The returnless rails are a direct fit, but I'm thinking it's more like 05+. I just put mine on the 6.0 for the same reason:

70 micron pre-filter -> walbro pump -> corvette style filter/requlator, and only one line going up to the fuel rail.

That's what I want to do, I just wasn't sure what parts of the fuel system the computer sees or if you could just swap rails at will.
