Carburated LS1 question
I have a 98 LS1 in my chevelle, Im going with a carb and msd controller set up. I have a GM hot cam and a 4l60. What size and style carb would anybody recommend? And what intake? Any advice would be great thanks.

Depends on what type of driving you're doing.
Guessing that this is a street car and your Chevelle is on the heavy side, I would use the Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and a Holley 750ish cfm vac secondary carb.

750 quick fuel double pumper.....forget that vacuum secondary comment, those are for motor homes and tow vehicles only. You'd be down 15hp on an engine dyno with one of those over a double pumper.

Dont the double pumpers use more fuel? And dont they tend to run rich? I was looking at the 670 street avenger.

no ALL carbs need to be tuned. Keep your foot out of the secondaries and you'll be fine. Primary jetting will need to be moved up or down to get the proper fuel ratio, nothing out of the box is perfect.
