Default LSx balancer

I want to pick up a used balancer and cut off the spokes to use the hub to help installing the timing cover on a 08 LY6. Won't any year 5.3/5.7/6.0/6.2 L engine work? Are these known to wear on the hub at the seal location? Looking at the hub isn't always a option

Any hub will work.

I just leave the front cover bolts loose until the hub is fully set, but you have a good idea if you are going to be doing a lot of installs, open up the inside enough to make it just slip onto the crank like set up bearings for rear gears.
