R32 Conversion ?
Would be nearly impossible getting the tranaxle setup to work with the LS1 motor. The R32 comes with a pretty potent motor the amount of money you would use doing the conversion would be better spend on rebuilding the motor and putting a bigger single turbo on the engine.

yeah, an R32 is a light 4wd car with suspension that still sons most cars today plus the rb26 has all the power and potential you will need.
1000hp on stock blocks have been done, if anything you could drop a newer r34 motor for lower miles and more power.

Nah, the white skyline doesn't look to be a GTR. There were GTS-T and type M models which were RWD with an rb20det(r32) and rb25det(r33).
Only the GT-R had AWD and the RB26dett.

not all skylines are RWD as pointed out above me, and only teh r34 chassis got the rb26dett (2.6L twin turbo inline six). its a very very simple process to disable the awd, as it is NOT a transverse mounted engine. the base skylines are all RWD, so its basically a matter of just putting a ls1 in tehre and getting a custom driveshaft made to the rear diff, and pulling hte front axles out or just swapping the front spindles for rwd models, or jsut buying a RWD base model skyline. they can be had extremely cheap. and yes a rwd ls1 powered skyline woudl be very cool. HOWEVER a skyline is NOT a "lightweight" car, its actually kinda hefty. but not too bad, think 350Z.

I'm thinking 300ZX (Z32)
holly crap! the dif is part of the oil pan. so you basically have to rip the whole front end appart inorder to change the oil pan gaskket or to access the bottom end.
how durable are those front ends?
