Default E36 M3 - LS3 New headers finished..

Your thoughts or comments would be appreciated.
Headers are custom built to fit the E36 M3 and are 1 7/8" primaries.
The rest of the system is twin 3" (Couldnt fit any bigger) through an X-pipe and a single large rear box custom made to fit and look fairly stock.

Looks good. If they allow you to fit the engine in the car then they are great I think 1 5/8" is a little on the small side, but it is tight in there.

That bell housing looks like it is upside down.

Those do look great. Primaries are smallish, but what can you do?

Is that an ax15 trans??

Edited, The primary size is 1 7/8 not 1 5/8!!

AX15 or Toyota R154, the same trans (The totota has more suitable ratios) Might not be up to holding the power long term but I have 3 on the shelf and replacements can be had here for about £200 - £300 each.

Ah, that makes more sense

Got it on the trans as well, I guess everything is on the wrong side there

Very nice - did you fab them yourself?

A couple of things you might want to consider -

-Did you leak check them? I've made a seal for the head ports out of a flat board and a piece of rubber sheet from the hardware store and clamped it to the header with C clamps, then put an bicycle or motorcycle innertube on the collector end so I could pressurize it through the Schraeder valve and check with soapy water.

-I can't tell if the coating is paint or ceramic, but you might want to have them coated inside and out for thermal control if you haven't done so already

-Do you have your oxygen sensor bungs welded on?

Very nice! I am interested to see how the fit in the car!

Can you spread some light on the R154? I've got a few sitting around....

Dude....those are sweet. Very clean and simple looking. I like the approach, especially how you positioned the collectors.... I'd like to have a set of those.
