Unhappy Help me find a donor car

I am looking for a donor car for my next project it needs to be an ls1 with t56. I wouldn't mind a f body but does anyone know where to find a vette. The parts I need for it is all the clutch parts including pedals etc. motor/tranny and wiring harness. I need all the help I can get and am willing to drive anywhere in texas for the most part like houston or san antonio. You can read here also why I need a motor https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=127234

Thanks for any help I need all I can get.

Marc

p.s. I'd prefer a z06 but that should be a real hard find.

Look on Loop 12 before the Dallas Stadium. There is a Mustang rebuilder on the west side of the highway that strips F-bodies. Just head east on 30 get off on Loop 12 North and take the first exit. He's pretty reasonable and should be able to help you out. I'll look out for one on the north side. Greenleaf in Fort Worth my sell you a car.

Motor mount and clutch pedal slave cylinder and pedal assembly. I'm working on the t-56 crossmember this weekend.

So did you use a ls1/t56 out of a vette or fbody. I was looking for one today and the guy said a vette won't work since the transmission is in the back is that right ? Also where are you located ?

I bought mine out of a salvaged F-body. Only the vette engine will work, but wrecked vettes are hard to fine. I'm located in McKinney.

I've seen real quick how hard these are to find a local junk yard had one but sold it last week so I missed it which sucks. They did say I could give them a deposit and when they find one at an auction they could purchase it. Sorry for all the questions but what all did you change other than the pedals, motor, tranny. What did you do for the hydraulic clutch. Sorry but last question did you retain the stock master cylinder ? Haha one more how do you like the vettebrakes suspension.

Thanks for all the help

Your welcome to just email me and I can send you lots of pics of the conversion or stop by one day and take a look. budman-78@comcast.net I'm using the F-body clutch assembly with my own bracket. I saved the template if you need it. And yes the stock master cylinder will work, no clearance problems.

I used multiple components from Vettebrake, Like springs, bushings, and tie rods. To tell you the truth it would be easier to tell the difference if I was running 17" or 18" wheels. But with 275 60 15 in the rear, it's like riding on balloons. Plus I have had to cut the front spring twice and now a third time because of weight reduction. Maybe oneday when I budget a set of TT2's and some 18" rubber, I will be able to give you a good evaluation.
