My son and I started a frame off Super Rod build of a 66 GTO over 2 years ago. The first picture is when we separated the body/frame. The second is a picture of the 18K mile, slightly burned (Ha!!!) engine the day we pulled it from a 2006 Escalade. This site has been invaluable to our build process. I'll post more pictures shortly.

Here are a few pictures of the frame. Eric stripped the frame, sandblasted it, we painted it. the forth picture shows Eric making patterns for the boxing plates. We then boxed the frame. I also attached a picture of the engine when we fitted it up to the finished frame rails. I replace the burned parts from the engine using left over parts from another motor swap that I had previously done. The complete t56 came from a 2000 camaro SS.

We purchased a 12 bolt 3:73 rear and wanted to put disk brakes on the car. After we placed the rear end in the car, we went to our trusty junk yard and pulled the rear disk brakes from a 2002 chevy blazer. I purchase a spacer (Picture 2) and this setup (using the spacer) bolted right in. The only mod was to slightly ream out the center of the rotor (Picture 3) so it would slide over the axle flange. Eric did that in short order. A very inexpensive way to put rear brakes on an A Body!
