Sanden Ac Compressor adapter bracket

Sanden Ac Compressor adapter bracket
I found this Sanden AC compressor bracket fr $99. It adapts a generic Sanden compressor to existing LS1 F-Body engine AC brackets. I have not test fitted these to an engine but it may be a solution instead of using the variable LSx compressor in older cars.

Looks same as Vintage Air bracket but uses F-body alluminum bracket too.
Seems simpler just to use the Vintage air brackets or just make these:

Can you explain that a little more - the 508 isn't that much smaller in diameter than the LS1 compressor is it to be able to move it inboard 3"? If one replaces all of the oem brackets is that what gives you the 3"? What about length and interference with the motor mount? Have any pics and a link to the S&P parts - I never can find anything in their catalog. Thanks. -Bob

Check here, then find page 91 and look at item "D". You can look through my gallery and find some engine pix that show the compressor mounted with the S&P brackets.
BTW, this is for the Corvette front drive and it runs one belt only, all on the front pulley. Because of this (I think), I had to buy a manual tensioner and ditch the auto tensioner...

Sanden has a few compressors that have become the standard in the aftermarket and hot rod circles. They also supply some (not sure how many) OEM's too. There are thousands or possibly hundreds of thousands of hot rods with their aftermarket compressors and countless OEM models on the road.

That H&H bracket is exactly what I have been looking for. I wanted to mount a 508 sanden in the stock LS location since Vintage Air requires a fixed displacement Compressor. Sweet! Relatively cheap. Now to see if it actually works!!

Your bracket looks very nice. I would love to make a similar bracket to adapt the sanden to the CTS-V bracket that came with my engine. How were you able to hold the compressor straight while you welded it? Also did you use the 6 rib compressor?
