Ls1 conversion, with a howell harness and pcm.
I was driving around for about a week with no temp sensor on my engine, (didnt have the pigtail plugged in)
Only problem I had running this way was the motor wouldnt immediately start back up after it got hot.
I now have a temp sensor installed, and plugged in. It runs good for like 5 minutes, and then the engine starts running horrible and the pretty much stalls out.
Its like the sensor is reading the heat increase and then adjusting my air/fuel ratio to the wrong setting. Im finding it strange that the motor ran so much better without it.
I know I need the temp sensor, and plan to run it. I just need to figure out why the motor starts running horrible once it warms up. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Might try resetting your PCM.....(disconnect battery for about 5 min)....it "learned" to run bad, now it needs to "relearn" the right way...assuming all other sensors are plugged in, and on a semi stock (unedited) tune file.....spark plugs are probably loaded up too...

All other sensors are plugged in. Guess i'll try the battery thing again, but I had the battery unplugged while swapping in the temp sensor, the battery was unplugged for at least 1/2 hour
