Help 200-4R to 03' LQ4!
I have been lurking here for a while and just hit my first problem in my swap. I am putting a 200-4r behind my 03' LQ4. I know they are many threads on this, but none have solved my problems. Here were my failures:
1) Stock 200 flex to LQ4 crank - NO - 2 pc seal flex to 1 pc seal block.
2)Ordered PAC-1399 from PACE - Wrong bolt pattern on flexplate to convertor bolts, do I have to elongate the holes? Also it comes with the GM spacer, does this go between the flex plate and crank?? If so would I have starter gear alignment issues?
3)I have heard I can't use the Hughes spacer (one between the flex and convertor snout that is not bolted in) for my truck motor flexplate. This is about the only thing I haven't tried and I don't want to have another mail order part to return.
4)00' camaro SS flexplate from a local auto parts store. Basically the sme looking flexplate as the one off my truck motor with the addition of a welded on metal piece about half way up the flexplate, that made me a little leary... Did I get pulled the wrong flexplate? I thought the 4l60 flex plates were suspose to be dished and this was the same as my truck flex (4l80)?
Without spending $250 on an aftermarket flex plate and probably having it still not work, what methods have worked when bolting an 03' LQ4 that originally came with a 4l80E to a 200-4r tranny??? Thanks

I am running a Hughes spacer standard 2002-2008 (just the dates of engines I have used) 6.0 curved flexplate and a stock matching 6.0 starter (these are cheap locally on car-part.com). Take a 168 tooth regular flexplate that has the right converter pattern and elongate the 6.0 flexplate holes to match.
