Lq9-4l60 into 1969 gto This is step 1 in the project. I took delivery of a 70k mile 2004 LQ9 with a Magnacharger last Tuesday. It is finally home and on the stand.
I am in need of some coaching from those of you familiar with this type of swap. I think I can use the stock pan. I understand that it is a bit deeper than the crossmember. This is not a big deal since I have a Moroso pan in the car now that hangs below the crossmember.
My biggest concern is the overall height. The blower is the same height as the OE truck intake. Will a stock Chevelle or GTO hood clear?
Any experience with truck headers in the "A" body frame rails?
How about the "B" body gas tank? Anyone have one for sale at a reasonable price?
