Thanks guys for the compliments and for following along with the build all these years. Admittedly, I haven't been able to be on here nearly as much as I used to be and I need to find more time to catch back up with all the build and tech threads I used to follow closely. I guess life gets in the way sometimes.

Anyway, I'm hoping to get my tires mounted on the wheels sometime this week so I can finally get them bolted on the car soon. That will really complete the look I've been waiting to see for sooooooo long.....lol.

71 that has the split bumper conversion already done and the three piece ducktail, its a roller I picked up several years ago. the plan is Chassiworks suspension and frame (have all of it but the front control arms) and an ls3 t56 combo. Should make for a fun driver. previous owner put one of those cheapo sunroofs on it though so thats gotta go. Think im gonna convert to a t-top roof. yours is definetly motivation

That's gonna be a bad machine when you get it done. Very cool!

Thanks man, ive had her for about 6 years I think (how sad is that) and ive just been stock piling parts. Currently stored at my storage business, hoping to get her home this year so I can start the tear down. I buddy of mine runs the autobody department at the vocational school im trying to talk him into getting his kids to strip her to metal and get it in epoxy primer so I dont have to worry about it anymore. I was thinking black with a flat black taillight panel and l88 hood since I have always loved the baldwin motion car.

yours looks great though that color just suits it so well

Thanks Clint. I got the tires mounted on the new wheels last night. I hope to bolt them on the car after work this evening and maybe snap a few pics.

The lighting wasn't the best by the time I was done, but I got the new wheels bolted on tonight and snapped some pics.

Thanks much guys! So very close to cruising time! I need to bolt the exhaust system back on this weekend and then I'm waiting for a few interior parts to show up. I can't remember if I had mentioned it in here before, but I ordered new lower door panels back in late 2015 when they first started re-popping them. They've been sealed up in the boxes ever since. Well I opened them up to install them and I had received two RH side panels. The boxes were correct but the part inside one of them was not. So I'm waiting on the replacement to show up. I also just ordered two new inner quarter covers. I had painted the originals with SEM and they looked great, except for the portion that wraps around into the door jamb. The doors' weather strip seems to want to stick a peel little portions of the paint back off the panels.........so they have to go.

New to this, but 59 pages is a lot lol. I'm rdally interested on the performance aspect of the build. Can you give me the basic specs on the motor? Is it still the same 228/230 cam? Thank you and sorry to bother lol

No problem man. Here's the engine breakdown:

Bone stock LY6 short block except for Katech rod bolts for "RPM insurance"
Bone stock 823 cylinder heads except for Patriot Gold dual springs/retainers
Cam is a Comp custom grind on HUC lobes 231/239 .598/.610 110+1 LSA
Hardened Comp .080 wall, stock length pushrods
Intake is an Edelbrock Vic Jr and the carb is a Pro Systems 950HP.
Nitrous system is an NOS Big Shot kit and I just added an Edelbrock controller this year.

The rest of drivetrain the package is:

Circle D 275mm converter (4000'ish stall; I just had it tightened while the car was down)
Rossler TH400 with a brake
Strange 9 inch with 35-spline axles, S-Trac posi and 4.10 gears
28 inch tires (Usually Hoosier bias plys but I'm trying out MT Drag Radial Pros this year).

That's about it. We'll see what I can do with the new tires and nitrous controller this year.
