Default Mark, any update on the GS?

Just wondering, I'm very interested in seeing how things are going.

Thanks for asking! Well....

I'm supposed to get my frame by the end of this month. There have been several delays with the fabricator due to the flu season, the holidays, and slow vendors. I have a pile of beautifully restored and upgraded C4 suspension parts waiting to be bolted to it. I have my engine torn down, ready to be placed in the chassis once its assembled. Once the engine is in place I can put the heads on, get them torqued down, and then reassemble the engine. Speed Inc. is has agreed to sponsor my project and has been really great! They've really been helpful and have saved me a lot of money in procuring all the go-fast goodies as well as coming up with a custom heads/cam setup designed specifically to my requirements. Thanks Tom and the Speed Inc. crew! Hopefully they'll put a link to my website on theirs once mine is ready. Also a big thanks to Andy for all of his help and for letting me build it in his awesome garage (the toy box).

The donor body made its way from California to Mid America. I have the title laying on my desk at home so I'm officially the owner of a Corvette now. They'll begin tearing it down to the birdcage soon. All the body panels except for the doors will be new hand-layed fiberglass made in molds taken from an original GS. They'll modify the existing doors and use them. If he begins that process this week as he suggested, I should have a completed body fully painted by sometime in March (if I can decide on a color). Keep your fingers crossed.

My color scheme has changed and will probably change again the way its been going. I'm thinking of a medium blue interior with Sebring Silver exterior - no stripe. Another option is to have a blue or dark silver stripe... I keep changing my mind. At some point I'm going to have to make a decision I can live with and the thought of that is killing me. Maybe I'll create a poll with the choices and let concesus decide.

LOL I know the feeling. Sometimes I push and prod Andy to do more mods on his Camaro so I can help with the install. Its great to help spend other people's money.
