Exclamation Need help quick, will this combo work?

Hee everybody,
I just bin visting a wreckyard.
They offer a engine for my swap.
It's a 2001 5.7 form a Camaro SS from canada.
The engine has 3 kilometers on it, it was wrecked on the boat during shipping.
(true story, I have read the police and customs file)
The enigine comes with computer, harness and all acc. But the trans is allready sold.
He does have another trans, a 4L60E from a Impala SS or a 4L80E from some truck.
Can I just use that, or will it not adapt to the engine without problems????
I am planning on reprogamming the computer by Speartech.
Will this combo work????
Any thoughts, if not what should I be looking for?
This is a uniqe engine, espaially in the netherlands
let me know asap please!!!

How much is he selling for the engine? and what year of the imaplla?

you'll need the crank flange adapter kit to use either one of those transmissions. The 4L60E will be easier to wire up; probably should NOT get the 4L80E, due to your location.

Thanks, What year of the 4L60E will thid go for? How much will the flange adapter kit be and where to get it?
How hard is it to do?
You can probally modify the harness for me, isn't it?
Does any one know how much it will be to ship a trans from the US to the Netherlands?

This kit is needed when using any of the pre-98 single piece bellhousing transmissions with the LS1. It will work for the early 4L60E, 700R4, TH350, and TH400. It spaces the flexplate back so that the torque converter stays properly engaged in the trans pump. The newer transmissions with the 2 piece bellhousings use a deeper (thicker) torque converter. This spacer kit is used to take up the extra distance.

We carry the kit for $185.

Thanks John, So if I can find a 460Le from a LT1 Impala SS(think that will be the one)
Your kit is all there is to do? What should I look for?

Need some final answers, what 4L60E can be used? What to look for?
How to tell the trans is still in good shape(as that is possible buy eye)
