6.0 engine help on conversion Hey guys,
I'm new to the LS1 scene. I've been building v8 s10 trucks for years and I've finally decided to try a carbed LS1 into my 1988 chevy s10. What actually made me consider this swap, was the fact a buddy of mine bought 92 chevy s10 earlier last week with a carbed 6.0 and that thing will scream. definitly impressed me! I'm basically going to copy some of his engine specs. The truck I'm building is a 1988 chevy s10 that will be used 97% of the time for drag strip use (1/8th mile), so streetability and idle characteristics are of no concern. Truck is already set up with a TH350 tranny and 4,000 stall. Rear end is a ford 8.8 cut down to stock S10 width. gear ratio will either be 4.56 or 4.88 gears with a 28" tall tire. now to the engine. Like I said earlier i"m new to the LS scene and have no knowledge what so ever about this engines. All i know is they run dang good! My plan right now is to run a LQ9 engine with L92 heads and a victor jr carb intake. are the L92 heads good or would i be better off with a set of ported 6.0 heads? The bottom end will be all stock. I DO NOT want to fly cut the pistons. the cam that caught my eye is the

would this be a good cam to use? will it work good with the L92 heads, or should i use ported 6.0 heads? I know to check PTV clearance but do you think i will have enough PTV clearance? any info, advice, and recomendations would be greatly appreciated
