One wire alternator hook up PLease help

One wire alternator hook up PLease help Ok well I guess my alt in not charging? Before this all started I had set my 1970 camaro up with a 1 wire alt, that ran from alt to starter, my powers wire from bat ran to starter as well. So I have since put the LS motor in and ran 1 wire from second prong ( plan view ) from the right ( driver side ) 2nd prong in to my starter. Now Bat not charging car runs like crap when bat is low....
So I guess what I need to know from the pros on here, what do I need to know, what should I buy and can I get it where??

You don't have a one wire alternator. One wire alternators only need the battery connected to the larger post on them, they have self-exciting regulators in them, and do not requre a signal to be put the the wire on the regulator., you can either wire the regulator to the correct wire on the PCM and have it operate it (the correct way to do it), or you can use a 194 bulb or resister, hooked to the regulator to turn it on

Poconojoe, thanks, could you, would you drawl me out a diagram.... PLEASE! As if I was standing in front of the car, drivers side looking down at alt... There is a 4 plug prong on the alternator. Please tell me were I want to put said 194 bulb or resister and where do I get one? Sorry but thank you for you time
