Bczee,
Is this the kit you're talking about?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1967-...Q5fAccessories

have you got it installed yet? Has anyone else done this kit, as opposed to BRP or Kore3?

Yeah.. that is the one I picked up. Had everything you required... mine is drum front brakes.. . just had to turn down the Hub to find into the Rotor.

I mod'd everything up and on the spindle, but since I don't have wheels that will fit over the brakes, I just removed the bracket and caliper to get the wheel on for now..

Any reason you chose that over BRP? With shipping it's going to be very close in cost, plus I'm going to end up ordering the rear brake kit from them anway.

Also, does anyone know if BRP has deals where they'll give you a discount based on a big purchase, like brake kit, lh8 pan, mounts, xmember, etc?

No really, just worked out that way...

Can't help to ask them directly for a discount on a package deal....

Anyone know of a machine shop north/northwest of Boston? I'm trying to find a place to get my hubs turned down and can't find anybody.
I'm assuming this is something I can't do myself.

Thanks
Jim

The question was asked on this thread before but never answered... what are people running for prop valves?

I'm trying to figure out how to go from the 2 lines in the MC down to the brakes themselves.

I used the master cylinder from CPP California Performance Products I think is the name, it has a built in proportioning valve. I just ran one line to the rear brake line using a union to connect the two. For the front they are already in "T" so you just run the other line to there and then adjust the master cylinder for the front rear bias. Mine worked perfect. I had originally tried a '72 corvette disc-disc master cylinder and '72 corvette proportioning valve but I could not get the rears to work properly.

Does anyone know why the spacer is required on the rears? I'm trying to install my rears, but with the spacer, the bolts aren't long enough.. Do I need to knock out the bolts on the rear flanges?

Are the rear caliper brackets on a C5 different than those of an F-body? I read that you could use C5 calipers on the back with the fbody backing plate, but do you need the fbody abutment to do so?

so, old thread being resurrected.
anyone know if this conversion will clear 16 inch rally wheels? i have all the ls1 parts from a TA i parted out, and a 64 el camino with drums. makes sense to use what i have, but i want to keep the rally wheels and police cap look.

additionally, anyone have a blueprint for the conversion barckets, or a currently availible source? ill have to mod my drum spindles for any brake conversion anyway....
thanks
michael

check these links out. Im in the process right now of doing the conversion. So far so good. I just need to get my conversion bracket for up front.

and if you decide to rebuild some junkyard calipers check this out. I paid 60 bucks for used junk yard calipers and about 20-30 bucks for a complete rebuild kit. I blasted and painted the calipers and they look brand new.

With all the money I saved basically rebuilding everything I ended up buy some pretty sexy EBC rotors

You should be fine. I had 15" rallys on the front of mine with 1/4" spacers.

Hi Guys, looks like I'm a little late to this party too. I have bought a 1967 Impala. The plan is to purchase a 2000ish Z28 Camaro as donor car for motor, trans, electrics, radiator, etc.. I want to know if I can retrofit the brakes too as it has been mentioned here for the Chevelle?

The only problem you'll have is that the rear axle flange bolts on the Impala rear axles are most often spaced out more than on the AFX cars. I'm going to attempt to use the rear brake brackets that BRP Hot Rods sells and drill out the holes for the big car flange spacing on their plates and on the 4th Gen Camaro backing plates.
