Default Best cluster for Corvette C4 with 4.8?

I'm putting a 2001 4.8 from a Tahoe, 4l60e from an f body in a 1984 Corvette C4 chassis. The corvette has the stupid digital dash which I ditched. I'm thinking about mounting a 2001 Silverado or Tahoe cluster. I can get one for $60 off ebay. Will it need reprogramming? This seems much cheaper than going with aftermarket gages and the dash is going to be custom anyway. Is this a good way to go? Will clusters from other years work? Most auctions seem to say 01/02 are compatible. I have the fuse block already, but not the dash harness. I guess I'd need that. Comments? Advice? Would a camaro cluster be better?

Y did you ditch the digital setup. That would have been very simple to tie the tach and vss signal into. Any other setup you decide to use will require lots of fab work to fit the Vettes dash.

Is that a jeep? Did you use the whole c4 chassis or graft on sections?
I'm putting c4 ft / rr suspension and an ls1 into a yj wrangler.
