Small update. I recieved my package from Speartech. He reflashed my stock ECM, built me a harness with a TCM and harness, Vette pedal and two GM O2 sensors. Johns work is AMAZING. Looks like I took it off brand new car. I should of asked about a better wire covering vs the convaleted tubing.

Thanks. It always seems to get pushed back another year so I can save $ and stockpile parts.

His prices are on his site www.speartech.com Everything is new except my ECM I sent him. $300 TCM/ECM reflash & add dual electric fans(not sure if the new trucks came with them or not); $900 for the VVT harness (w/trany harness); $125 for the TCM; $100 for the Vette pedal; $150 for 2 GM O2 sensor pack. I haven't found anybody else doing VVT harnesses. I was relieved to get a TCM & electroncs done so cheaply. John Spears has a stellar rep/customer support. So chosing John was a no brainer. You get what you pay for. You can send John the harness from your donor vehicle so save money.

Small update. I gathered parts to swap LS1 flANges on BBC headers. My 1st welder didn't work. My backup welder simply wasn't strong enough to do the job to my satisfaction. So I ordered Dynatech's 1 7/8" headers. I test fit them today. They are a thing of beauti. But as TJ mentioned in his thread, they hang a little low. Maybe after a few dings I will shorten them 1 3/4-2"s.
I also got a Camaro4 Radiator and fan assembly. But I think I will send them back as I am not digging them. I'll prolly just go Jegs double pass and dual fan/straight blade. I cut apart my Spectra EFI tank to baffle it. I cut my baffles and will start welding tomarrow if all goes well. I will take some pics of parts and finished tank once done. I will cross my fingers I didn't hinder Spectras stellar design.
I thought I'd try a Summit Racing crossmember(same as G-force crossmembers) since I didn't have a welder stong enough to fab my own. The direction with Summit crossmember were misleading on orientation. I checked Gofrces website and got it installed. While I was hoping for a perfect fit, I figured with my luck, I'd be lucky if I only had to drill new holes. With the subframe holes lined up, the trans pad needed to be drill as they where off about 1 1/4" back. I could of redrilled the subframe, but I was too cheap to buy a $20.00 drill bit. ($20.00. WTF)
thats it for now.

LOL. I never tried to see if the pics I took turned out yet. I know I couldn't see the LCD screen when I took them. This was just my butcher/hack job on my tank. I just sent back the Jegs dual pass radiator/fan kit. Decided on a AFCO swap radiator. Not actually that much more when you factor in the Edelbrock tany cooler/fan set up and moding the Jegs radiator to fit propperly.

Well no update yet. I've been getting parts and I just moved into my 1st (ever) garage. I need to organize it before I can resume my basketcase swap.
I was hoping to get opinions on which Dakota Dig. VHX guage setup to get. Anyone have any thought on this? I will probably paint my car LaMans blue OR silver. SO keep this in mind IF you have a opinion on guage colors
