Yeah that part shouldn't be toooo bad, however I need to make a longer bolt to be able to pull the damper on. The stock bolt wont reach. Oh well, should be able to find time to get this thing on by Friday so I can still install the engine on Sunday.

Well I made the longer bolt and heated the balancer up in the over and it's on! Didn't get around to putting the engine in the car though, looks like it will have to wait until next Sunday.

Sweet. Great to see the CFI go and the LSx come in.
I did the CFI to LS1 swap last winter. Here is my thread which might give you some ideas since your doing a similar old-new motor combo swap, especially if your doing a 4L60E or planning a similar fuel system scheme.

The engine did go in this past Sunday! It took a fair amount of time trying to get it in there, it seemed like nothing was lining up at first. But after alot of messing around with it she finally went into place. So far the engine is loosely bolted to the engine mounts, I still have to hook up the transmission to the engine though. Pictures to follow shortly.

Flywheel
Spacer to be installed
Spacer installed
Notice the holes where the converter bolts up to on the flywheel have been elongated in order for the flywheel to fit the converter
LS1 motor mount adapter
New motor mounts
Almost have the motor seated
Motor seated and pin being installed
Intake manifold tossed on just to see how it will look
Still need to bolt up the trans...Should be able to get that done this weekend if the weather cooperates.

Redman,
I see you went to the time and cost of painting your engine. Why didn'y you clean your engine first? As in different wire wheels on a drill. Super easy and maybe 1/2 hour of time. Makes for a much cleaner paint job.
Keep the pics coming !

I love C4s and this thread delivers. A lot of the pics aren't showing up though, is it just me?
OP, what's with the mess of a wiring harness? I've never seen anything that bad, ever.
