throttle cable ls-x into 72 chevelle

So I'm trying to figure out what length throttle cable to buy for my swap into my chevelle I want to use the pedal still from the original setup.

Can anyone who has done an A-body swap tell me how long their cable ended up being?

I just used the Lokar cable for the LS1.. "TC1000LS1".. If I recall it is 36 inch long.. and is a bit on the long side.. but it still worked out well.

I have the heard that the one off an Express van works well but have not got that far on my swap so I can't verify that.
