convert the r12 refrigerant nozzles to r134 nozzles. Drain the r12 oil out and replace with r134 oil. Then put r134 refrigerant in and feel the breeze! well atleast that what I did in my 86 300zx!

Just pump it down, put Freeze 12 in it, and don't bother with the 134. 134 doesn't work as well as R12 or freeze 12

You use to be able to buy r12 on ebay as well. If not, just change the connections, drain and refill.

Freeze 12 is a drop in replacement for R12, you should be able to buy it at your local auto parts store for about $10 a can

Ok thanks, no difference in the compressor, just the oil and the connections.

Unless your vehicle has rear air or 2 seperate evaperators in the front, it should only have one orifice, since the orifice is used to seperate the high side of the system from the low and converts the higher pressure liquid to a lower pressure vapor. Since you can only do this once , there would be no need or purpose for a second orifice, unless there are parellel evaporators in the sustem, each with their own orifice.
You might be thinking of the little inline filters that some systems use.
To the OP, if switching to 134 you will also need to change the O-ring seals, since the R12 ones will not last long being exposed to the oil used with 134

I believe that he was referring to the high and low side service fittings . They differ in size from r12 systems to r134a systems.
