GM guys, if you want to keep your factory gauges use this combo from a 98 LS1 Z-28.
connector: 12102748
sensor: 12551708
The connector has three wires. The two that are side by side go to your computer the 'top' wire goes to your gauge. I got this piece of info from Jeff (70LS1) off this site a while back. I finally got the parts, I figured if anyone else is after this combo the part numbers would help alot. My temp gauge is accurate as far as I can tell. The fans come on at 190 and 205. I hope this info can help someone.

I am using an autometer sensor with the factory gauge. I installed it in the passenger's head near the back (same place as the factory one on the driver's side.) There is a plug (12x1.5) in the hole that either needs to come out, or you can drill and tap the plug and use it for the adapter. That's what I did. The gauge reads about 10 degrees off, but it shows trends and that's all I care about.
