LS1 swap ideas
LS1 swap ideas I am in the process of trying to sell my 99 Camaro Z28 A4 since I am in need of a bigger car but selling it has been quite a challenge.
I have been tossing the idea around about swapping the LS1 and 4L60E transmission into another car. I have seen this swap done in a lexus GS chassis. I have been trying to find more info on the company DGR fabrication and Sikky but with no luck.
Anybody have any good sources for these swaps or better yet, a place in the midwest or near the midwest that could do the swap?

if youre gonna take it to a shop with experience in swapping these into older cars you have a ton of choices, basically just needs to be a car with room for the engine/trans, and needs to have wiring basic enough to not need a degree in engineering (the newer bmws for instance, have a can-bus system thats too much of a pain to work around).
I think as far as lexus' go ive seen IS300s, SC430s and the Gs series with LSxs, but i could be daydreaming
