1991 S10 LQ4 Project

I've been working on this truck for a long time, it's slowly coming together finally, here is some pics of the progress.

I'm trying to get close to 400 at the wheels on motor, so I think that should make a mid 11 second truck, once I get used too it I'll probably go with a 150 shot.

Looks nice! Good job and keep it up. I had a 90 with a 4 cyl. It was a fun truck. I wish I could convince my dad to swap it.

A little update. Headers went on alot easier then I had expected. no issues going around the frame all and all they're a good fit. I had to remove the tube on #5 cylinder because my steering shaft is going to need replaced or modified. Here are some pictures.

what kind of rear end are you running? I might be picking up a little newer s10 here soon and doing either a 5.3 or LQ4/9 swap, just trying to peice together everything i'm going to end up needing

You can use either a 8.5 from a newer s10 or a ford 8.8 which are cheap but they are wider then stock. You can just cut the long side of the rear to match the short side and use a short side axle. I paid 175 for a complete rear with 3.73 and discs.

Right now it just has a stock 10 bolt under it. I'm probably going to use it untill I can upgrade, I'll just have to be careful and take it easy! I'm going to end up with a 9 inch under it.
