No, re-pin it for the 1999-02.

It will work, just be aware the 97-98 PCM is the ugly duckling of the LSx PCMs

Id repin it for the 99-02 if I were you

I'm using 98 PCM and harness with a complete zo6 top end and cam. Been running strong for 2yrs. If it's what you have on hand to work with there's no need to worry.

ron is sendin me up the 98 pcm, so I guess when i see it i'll make my decision. if it works though, than i'm prob gunna stay with it.

i thought the 98 pcm had different connectors though, or is it just different pin designations?

It can work just fine.
Remember to have the computer reprogrammed for the different injector size though. '01's are 28lb, 98 was 24lb.

I wasn't 100% sure, but I know they change.
If you are using HP tuners, could just download a stock 98 file from their website and compare it to an 01 file to make the changes.
