Default Will something go right....

I tried to bump start the car tonight to free up the slave cylinder and could get a thing. Power at the battery, power at the starter., but nothing, not a click. Then I decided to check my new bump start switch and guess what, no workie...... So then I fiddle with it and finally got it to work, I guess and the starter would only engage and not turn. I looked over and my trickle charger was unpluged.

I give up tonight. The slave cylinder is still rock hard and looks like it is leaking now, so I am definely going to replace it. I also emailed the guy I bought it from and he is not willing to give me my $45. back or an exchange. He is going to give me some radiator hoses to use for fabrication. Either way I to weak to argue. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day.

As I remember there are 2 different slave cylinders you can get for a T56. The older model (97 to 2000 I believe) has issues. The newer one is supose to be better. Call or email Pace or SDPC for info. Just get a new one, you dont want to take this apart again.

If you cant push the clutch in its not going to start. There is a switch at the bottom of the clutch; try tapping it down. Do you have any power to the injectors? If not then you will need a vats bypass module. There is a right up on how to make one in the how to thread or you can buy one for about $30. I see them on ebay all the time.

Not trying to start the motor, just bump it to see if it would free the clutch. Thanks for the heads up.

He's right. If you have that clutch pedal switch hooked up and the switch is not engaged the car won't start nor will it bump over. That switch needs to be engaged in order for the starter to get power. It acts just like a park/nuetral safety switch. If the car is not in park or nuetral, no power will go to the starter. Hope this helps.
