lt1 to ls1 mounts Ok thinking of a lsx swap in my car. The deal is the car already has a lt1 bmr kmember and would rather not have to sell the kmember and buy another. my question is isnt the mounts on the lt1 the same as a gen 1 sbc? The only thing i see being necessary is the steering shaft swap. i cant really see a 1/4 for the plates making a huge fitment issue.

Actually it kinda is man..the conversion plates move the whole drivetrain to the rear about 3/4" and it's a pain in the ***.
You definately need the LS1 Steering Rack & Linkage.
My suggestion would be to use LS stuff..ya it'll be a bitch to sell and rebuy, but trust me it's worth it when everything bolts right up.
I had Conversion Mounts and they were worthless.. LS1 Kmember and Mounts ftw!

where are you located??? i have an fbody kmember and mounts along with the rack and pinion...rack and pinion prob aint no good since the rod is bent...i'm in houston...
