Water pump heater core ports to be moved?
Hello there
I have a ls1 in a 69 camaro and the turbo setup is completely blocking the heater core outlet ports ( there plugged flush ) im wondering where can i tap or get a supply and return to my vintage air heater setup ?

I have seen posts where people plug the existing ports then drill and tap the ports straight down from above. A more traditional way is to tap the existing ports (1/2 and 3/8 npt) and use 90° AN fittings.
Try a search.
Nice thing about aluminum water pumps if you screw something up you can use a TIG welder like an eraser.

Thanks for the tips but like i said i have a turbo covering the ports there might be about 1/8" gap between water pump and turbo as i never planned on running a heater until i got the vintage air setup. But i like the idea of drilling under the ports and running fittings straight down !
