Sorry for the hiatus. The car isn't finished but it's come a long way. It's not going to be a trailer queen, it's a driver and there are already some chips and scratches. These wheels are for drag strip testing and I'm hoping for an outing soon. The car should be easily convertible to pro-touring style.
An LSA crank works well in a LY6/L96 block with a factory LSA flexplate and bolts. Just get the converter spaced for standard LS spacing instead of 4L80 spacing and it works great with the 4L80. It can save a fair amount of money depending on the build.
I haven't posted on other forums. Just too busy working, kids, building the car, getting it to work. I did have the help of an interior shop to help fit the interior around the cage. I have a new best quarter mile time of 10.11 at 140.
Dan,
What color did you have it painted? It kinda looks like a dark brown of some sort. Time to powdercoat the subframe. It sticks out compared to the rest of it. You've been busy. !!!
It's the original burnished brown. The color pops with base coat clear coat but can't tell by photos. Since, I decided to paint it that, I've seen a couple of others that color, in a magazine and on tv, not in person. The bottom side is DP90. Not a show car, it's a soon to be 9 second street car, I hope. Jimbo, I need to call you. 3750# with a full tank of E85, cage, ac and lots of insulation. It's a little porky, but lighter than I expected, given no attempt was made to loose weight.

I think that color looks good. It does show that "pop" you mentioned.VEry different. And its a original color. Win/Win. On a side note, I already got the radiator support. Thanks anyways. I fugured you were busy. Trust me, I know how that goes.
BE sure to show some new engine compartment pics when you get a chance.
