Default Need help with 6.0 identity

I found a 6.0w/trans and computer for $1300 out of a 04 1ton Chevy van.
My ? is, is the engine the same as the truck one and if not how much difference is there? It is going to be installed in a 85 Regal and I just wanted to know the differences if any before I tried to make a deal with the owner of the engine. Thanks Guys!

Yes they're the same. There are 2 versions of the iron blocks 6 liters with the exception of the LS2, which is aluminum.

There is the LQ4 and the LQ9. the LQ9 has about a half point higher compression, due to flat top pistons.

There is a lot for you to learn, and this site is a great resource. Do some looking around before asking tons of questions

That being said, that's a damn good price on that setup, depending on the miles.
