Smooth firewall option for steering column

I have flattened the firewall in my '72 Chevelle and have added hydroboost and the bracket for a hydraulic clutch. I am currently looking for ideas to seal the opening from around the steering column into the interior of the vehicle.

I have looked at several options including a 4" wide seals-it grommet on the exterior of the firewall. Does anyone have any suggestions that I may have not explored or thought of yet? Obviously I am a bit short on space which is one of the major limiting factors to my options.

Brian, there are lots of options, check out the 'Floor Mounts' from places like Ididit, Flaming River, Borgeson. Flaming River has a floor mount specifically for your model Chevelle.
