Default 96 V6 to LS1 Conversion questions

I am in the process of a conversion of my 96 Camaro V6 and am putting a LS1 T56 99 Z28 engine in and I have run into the following problems.

1. The trans crossmember does not line up close to the factory holes using the 96 manual crossmember. Do I need to use the LS1 Trans crossmember? Or manufacture something on my own?

2. The steering universal joints seem to get in the way of the hedders I have used a LS1 rack. ( I don't have them together yet so I am not sure.)

3. I am not sure what the vacuum line that is on the sensor on top of the intake manifold goes to the other side of this sensor goes to the throttle body via a quick connect.

Here is a picture of the sensor

If anyone has help they can give me it would be appreciated.

Default

You need to use an LS1 trans crossmember. MY steering shaft was hitting my headers when I used my stock rack but when I switched it to an LS1 it cleared just fine. YOu may need a new steering shaft(steering Knuckle)
