Not really any big does or don't in my opinion. I don't use an IAC because I don't have a sound system or A/C. That means my throttle plate is a bit further open at idle than yours will be so I need less pedal travel for WOT.

I've finally got my engine and trans. I had to go all the way to New Orleans to get it though. That was a lil over 1000 miles but hey it was worth it.

I few updates on the build. Engine and trans are in the car. I've also bolted up the drive shaft. I love the Sikky kit, everything just bolts on. Well kinda, the effing two front bolts on the oil pan are a bitch to put on. I haven't put them on yet. I didn't want to spend to much time on that so I moved on. I also ran into another issue but was a quick fix. The shifter you get from Sikky is meant for a GTO T56 so if you have a F-body's tranny your going to have get an offset shifter link. I tried using the truck manifolds to safe some money for the holidays but no luck I guess I'm going to have to dish out for those headers they sell also I need the master cylinder kit they offer to but its still not out. Although they might send me a prototype. They are a great company and are always available.

Do what I did. Just modify the stock 350z pedal. You have to make the floor stop a bit shorter unless you have a different cam on your throttle body. You won't get 100% full throttle with the stock 350z travel and a stock LS throttle body.

I just welded a piece of u-channel to the top portion of my stock pedal and mounted the cable to that. Took about an hour to get the pedal modified and an hour to get the cable installed.

Since I am gutting my car right now and I have my dash out of the car I may be able to get some good pictures of what I did this Sunday.

Thanks that will help. What do I do about the stock computer? I've removed the engine and trans wiring plus the computer. Do i need the computer to run anything else. I not using the stock gauges, I was thinking of going with digital Dakota or just run the Auto Meter's I already have. How and were did you all locate the GM computer? If I do need to keep the stock computer and harness where should I locate them as well? If you all can post some pics that would help me out. Thanks.

I believe you need to keep the BCM. You can ditch the ECM if you don't plan on running VDC or the stock gauges.

I am really considering dumping all the stock wiring this winter since I don't have a radio in my car and I would only need to buy a spedometer. Could save a bunch of weight up front and would have to simply hardwire things like the wipers and headlights just like we did on the Porsche 928.

VDC won't work because it regulates throttle control as well. That was one issue I had.

VDC should work with LS2 cause its 58x fly-by-wire. Dont ask me how to wire it, but the stock 3.5l is FBW also, you should be able to do it. OR, I am making asumptions and have no idea what I'm talking about.... Probably the second one.... LOL

No. The VDC is controlled through the stock nissan ECU and the GM DBW is controlled through the GM ECU. If possible, im sure the price to do it would offset the need for it.

Shortened pedal stop

Modified cable attachment

Unfortunately, now that I stipped my interior, I need to lengthen the pedal stop (shakes head).

As you can see, I should have extended the cable mount a bit to align it better with the firewall fitting. I am just going to twist that portion of the firewall now to align it better.
