Default Chevelle good deal?

Looking for a idea if this car is worth it or not.
72 ss Clone, body is rust free, paint is so so, amature job. 350 sbc, 400 turbo 10bolt in the rear think non posi. Underside is pretty solid but does have rust on floor pain, one spot is rotted through.

My car is worth maybe 9k chopped 8k as a hole. Which is what he wants 8k for it or straight trade. He is delivering and picking up my car, 290 miles each way. Good deal or should I chill out and look on e-bay after parting mine out?
Things are a bitch to price.

If it has that much rust on the floors then its got rust elsewhere. It looks like it has some bondo in the door and the front lower fender. I can't really tell on the quarter panel but I would lay money on it having rust there too. Do what you want but to me thats maybe a $3500 to $4000 car and thats if it runs and drives well. I imagine that once you got digging into it you would need floors, quarters, fenders, and doors. Figure around $8000 to $10,000 for good work and a good paint job. I would find a better deal, something close that you can actually inspect.

yes, def keep looking. Little trick for yah, when you go to look at them, take a 100% cotton tube sock/boot sock, and a strong magnet. Run it all over the car. The sock will keep it from scratching, and it will tell you everywhere that there is bondo
