Default SPEARTECH- quote

Has anyone had a hard time trying to get a quote from John Spears? Is he typically a week or two behind to reply to e/m's requesting quotes?

My work schedule keeps me from simply calling.
thanks,
Jim

He replied to my emails within 36 hours each time i emailed him a few weeks ago. I think he's charging around $450 to rework a harness for custom swap. Dont quote me on it though.

Unless he's gone under and dropped off the face of the planet (100% not likely), then he will eventually get to your messages and give you a very courteous & helpful response!

Ive never purchased anything from him what so ever...but it didnt stop him from giving me over the phone help when I was building my own harness. He seems to be a real stand up guy.

I second the holiday stuff. If you can, and need something quick, give him a buzz.

No one said he was out of business. If you read the entire thread it was really just a guy joking that that would be the only reason he wouldnt answer an email. If he was out of business I wouldnt have sent him my harness 2 weeks ago.

John has always been very helpful through emails and phone calls. He even helped with some pictures for my LS Retrofit and Swap manual.

John is great at what he does. He is swamped right now. He is right down the road from us. Give him some time or give the shop a call. They opperated with only a few guys to keep the system streamlined so they are always up to their eyeballs.

I called John (Speartech)Wednesday or Thursday. His shop is closed for the holiday until Dec. 6 (Monday)

I hear Johns the best and excellent customer support. That's why he's getting my business.

I've done 2 conversions now, LS-1 in a '89 Camaro and a LQ-4 in a '71 Nova, John did them both. Installation and start up were painless. He does great work, has my vote!
