Default pcm codes

hello to all. i was wondering, how many of my fellow gearheads are currently experiencing troubles codes once the lsx conversion was complete. i swapped a 5.3/4l60e into an '87 chevy c10. the pcm was reprogrammed by the vendor who sold me the harness. since the vendor couldnt program the pcm to stop sending trouble codes, i enlisted the services of a tuner. the vehicle is runs a lot better since the tune, but im still getting trouble codes. i just want to know if this normal or should i purchase a harness from another vendor?

Those are mostly o2 sensor codes and emmissions codes. Are you running full emmissions? If not, go back to your tuner and have him shut all that stuff off. As for the o2 sensor codes, what kind of condition are they in? New or used with undetermined mileage, ect.

The po101, is a maf code, you might try cleaning it with some spray MAF cleaner, but only a spray, don't ever touch the small wires inside them, if they break, your maf is done.

Default codes

hello ls1nova71.thanks for the reply. i think the maf code cam when i took the intake tube off and drove it to get the stock gear box adjusted. the o2 sensor were bought new and were the chioce the vendor recommended(ac delco). i am not running full emmission just the front o2 sensors. i will have the tuner delete the emmissions stuff. i just want to drive and not have to worry about blowing up my engine.and again thanks.

Default just to quiet the critics

hello again. just to mention to those that are searching good power. dont sleep on the 5.3(lm7). sure the 6.0(lq4/lq9) has more cubes, but in my opinion the 5.3 is money well spent. tune the damn thing rite and youll have the 6.0 crowd scratching there heads. i have a budd changing his current, lq9 setup. the recipe for good, cheap power is a good 5.3, cam n springs, stall converter and a good tune, the word will be "what the F--K". for $1200, you have a 400hp. dont spend money on heads, not worth it. good luck
