Thanks Steve & bayer-z28.
Santa Laura just bought me a set of T/A's 255/60's & 215/65's from Tire Rack. They should look sharp when mounted on rallye rims w/ 67 style caps. I was surprised to find a huge Tire Rack facility right in town/saved some money off of freight. This is really coming together now.

So, what are your opinions regarding the raised white lettering on the T/A's?
Should the blackwall sides show out, or the lettering?

I have the white letters to the outside and in my opinion it looks great. I figure if I am using old school wheels might as well keep the look going. I am using 15 x 7's up front and 15 x 8's in the rear with the wide bands for the back and similar designed narrower bands up front with GM flat caps. 235/60/15 T/A's out back and 215/70/15 T/A's up front. I will eventually change over to a newer style wheel but my wife loves the rallys, so for now its gonna stay that way. I like blackwalls on a lower profile tire but there again its ultimately up to you and your preference. Either way you have a sweet ride and nice job on the build.

Great work on the car Glen! I'm glad you posted pics of the build. Congrats on all the hard work! I really like the color and can only imagine how it must look in the sunlight, great choice!

here's some 'disgust', Steve. I'm not sure if disgust & bummer are the same?

I'm leaning toward the blackwalls. It helps to hear all of your opinions, though. Different perspectives are good!
Mister D! What did you end up choosing for headers/mounts/etc??

We did take a couple of short videos. It's an old-style cam with mini dv tape/no harddrive. As soon as I can locate the proper cable for a transfer, I'll post.

What brand of catch are you using? Is it baffled and a sealed unit? Thanks

I was just commenting in another thread about how time goes by and you can't remember details about your own car.
I believe it's an AMW/baffled. Has a screwed in port at the bottom-like a radiator.

I'll just say that we spent twice as much as was budgeted.

Thanks, Steve
Just when you think you're almost there, you'll find so many more items to be addressed. I can't wait to lie on the unheated garage floor. It's supposed to be -7 deg F this weekend. Time to move to CA!

That color is amazing. you mentioned you didn't like purple, was the Nissan color modifed?

Blackwalls here on everything I own. Not interested in advertising for the tire companies, nor do I like the appearance.
