Trans Insight Has anybody checked into the Keisler T45 5-speed trans behind a 5.3?

I got a quote of $1730 (includes clutch disc) shipped to replace my 4-speed earlier this year.
I want to run a stock 5.3 (maybe with an LS1 intake) and an overdrive.
I should still be able to use my bellhousing, right? I'll have to convert to a hydraulic clutch and get a flywheel and pressure plate. I'd have to do all that anyway with a T56 and I can't seem to find one for less than $2K and the TKO600/TKO500 are too much money.
I really like a manual but the 4L60E seems like it would be a whole lot easier.
