Default one wire alternator with aftermarket harness?

swapping a 6.0 into a regal can i just use a one wire alternator? I will be having F.A.S.T make me a wiring harness to plug into my XFI box and was wondering how i was gonna make this work? Thanks for any input

find a local alternator repair shop and have them take your exsisting alternator and convert it to a self exciting regulato(single wire) thats what i did on both the ls swaps i have done and its worked great. cost me right around 80-100 bucks

+1 this is what I did also, but I only paid about $50 for the conversion, $100 total after buying the alternator.

I used a f-body alt' for my swap. One wire.
