I have been working on my car every day after work the last two weeks. Getting some good progress hope to be at the track in a month or two. I look forward to seeing your car and any other local lsx mustangs out there. Looking good!

I'll take some, but they are just on 'L' brackets that are screwed to the bottom of the cowl. Under the place where the wiper motors would go.

It is running and ready to race! I spent the day taking care of wiring and replacing brake lines.

I plan to go race this weekend at the "Mustangs vs. The World" event. I will just be doing test and tune because I need to make sure everything is setup correctly. My wideband sensor hasn't arrived yet either.

Videos to come shortly.

Yeah, the event is Saturday the 26th from 10-4pm at Barona. The weather is somewhat iffy because of the rain this week. There is a chance of rain Saturday, but a late arrival of the Friday storm could ruin racing on Saturday.

My plans are to go unless the weather pushes back and rain looks eminent. No need to fill up the truck, get the trailer ready, and pay the entry fees just to get rained on.

One thing that caused some headaches/confusion was the reverse gear in the powerglide. I thought I had messed up the install or shifter alignment because I couldn't get the car to move in reverse. I spent hours adjusting and checking things.

A couple hours of online research later and I found out that PG transmissions with a transbrake require the transbrake to be engaged for reverse to function! I had never heard that and my th400 with a brake was completely different.

Haha.

It was a good learning experience, but it still feels a bit wierd to push and hold the transbrake button to use reverse.

That's what my th400 valvebody paperwork said on mine too. Bottom has to be pushed to get reverse to engauge.

Back from the track and it was a very eventful day. I had some tech issues with neutral safety, holes in the firewall, and harness dates. The tech guy seemed like he was being really strict with me and not others. They still let me run, but told me to take it easy and not come back without everything fixed.

I ended up getting 3 passes and all I can say is that this car is crazy.

Pass one:
I just wanted to make a 60ft pass to see if everything was tight and in place. I simply went WOT from idle and ended up cutting a 1.35 60ft time. No wheelies or craziness, but the car started to dart to the right after about the 100 ft mark. I coasted to an 8.6 at 63.

Run 2:
Much better burn out and brake stalled it up to 2000 rpm before going WOT. The track was kind of wet and the car got out of control and ran a 1.5 60ft. Coasted to the finish and went 8 something.

Run 3:
From idle I went a 1.37 60ft time and got out of control around the 100ft mark. I let off for a bit then decided to finish the run up and feel second gear. Haha. I got back on it and instantly bounced the rev limiter. I never saw the shift light so I ended up sitting on the limiter for quite awhile before realizing it was time to shift. Bumped second gear and pulled it out to the finish line. Ended up running a 6.6 at 90mph. HAHA

So it's time for me to get the car scaled and figure out what is going on with the car pulling to the right. I had the limiters set on the second hole and slicks at 9psi. I need to figure out what the shift light and rev limiter are doing too.

Car looked good. I saw the first two passes. Wish I could have seen the third, a 6.6 with lifting and hitting the limiter is damn fast... I cant wait to see the numbers with a clean pass. From what I hear the tech guys big thing is neutral safety switches that and your battery kill shuting off the motor. What holes in the fire wall were they talking about?

You should have stopped by the trailer to talk.

The tech guys weren't bad, they were just strict with my car. The battery kill switch worked so they let me run for the day. The holes in my firewall are from the heater box/AC removal. I am going to make some plugs and rivet them in place then use some seam sealer. It will be good enough until the next time the engine is out and I can smooth the firewall.

6.6 was really not even trying for the car. It was all over the track after the 100ft mark. I must have been off the gas for .5 and was all over the limiter during the run. 90mph on that run makes me laugh because it shows how bad the run was, but still ran a 6.6.

Haha, nice outing with the beast. It's going to take a few more passes to get things worked out with that much power. We need to meet up at Borona some time.

Yeah man, we should meet up this summer. I will be making a few trips to Irwindale too.

Barona was really hooking for me Saturday. I think with the transbrake and chassis tuning it will go 1.2X 60ft. The weather on Saturday at Barona was the best I've seen there and the DA was still 1800+ feet. Even my crappy 6.6 would have corrected to a 6.5, haha.

This fall will be racing game time for me. I plan on racing as much as I can.
